  • Parents of a 2017 HS Senior - Graduation pictures will be taken.  An order form has been sent home with your senior.  Order and payment are due on or before May 25th.  The order form will be posted on the high school web page.
  • Thank you to everyone that purchased plants from the RVHS Greenhouse!  We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you next year.  The greenhouse will be open for business next spring, 2018, with more beautiful flowers and vegetables.
  • Dr. Harmon's 8th grade Civics students finished out the year creating "Shark Tank"-style business ideas, using economic standards, and presenting them to their classmates.
  • Congratulations to the 2017-18 National Honor Society Officers: President: Makayla Guntrum; Vice President: Peyton Kirkpatrick; Secretary: Emily Gourley; Treasurer: Haley Minich.
  • Seniors opened their 7th grade time capsules on Tuesday, May 9th, in the cafeteria.  Any students who was a member of the Class of 2017 but no longer attends RVHS may pick up his/her time capsule at the school during regular school hours.  Contact Mrs. DiGiammarino at the high school if special arrangements need to be made to deliver your capsule.
  • If you missed out on buying the 2016 HS Yearbook, there are extras available in Mrs. Bonfardine's room (133) for $40 each. Stop in and get yours today!
  • 2016 Grads: If you have paid for but not picked up your 2016 HS Yearbook, they are available in room 133.
  • The daily announcements from the high school can now be viewed on the Redbank Valley Web site under RVTV Announcements.

The Guidance Department's main goal is to help students, parents, and community members deal with issues that tie in with educational development. We feel that educational development deals with four basic areas. Those areas include: mental, social, emotional, and physical.

 Junior Year Goals

  • Take PSAT: Wednesday, October 15, 2014
  • Attend College Visits – Why should you attend?
    • Great opportunity to hear in person about schools (schools you are interested in and also schools that you could learn more about)
    • Ask questions: Good time to ask specific questions about programs or majors that you would like to pursue and what specifics they offer that make that program/major stand out
    • Find out the financial details: what scholarships do they offer, what is the tuition, room and board
  • ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery):
    • All juniors will take it November 12 & 13, 2014
    • It is a career exploration tool; results will help you see what careers might be good for you to explore
  • End of Junior Year Goals:
    • Take SAT/ACT in the spring of Junior Year
    • Have 3-5 schools you plan to visit and are strongly interested in
    • Keep grades up, this is the year school’s really look at on your transcript
    • Prepare a challenging schedule for your senior year

12th Grade Fall Timeline

  • Make campus visits to colleges or technical schools
  • Narrow down your post-secondary options

  • Stay on track with grades and activities through your whole senior year

  • Research and apply for Scholarships!

    12th Grade Spring Timeline

  • Complete financial aid application (FAFSA)
  • Continue to apply to colleges, technical schools, apprenticeship programs etc.
  • Make campus visits to colleges or Technical schools
  • Continue to compare and contrast your post-graduation choices
  • Make a decision for your post-graduation plansNotify the institution you decide to attend (as well as the Guidance Office)
  • Research and apply for Scholarships!


New residents of the Redbank Valley School District wishing to enroll their children in grades 7-12 may begin the registration process by clicking on "Parent Resources".  A drop down menu will appear showing "Forms" as the next link for you to click.  The left side of the next page will list several different types of forms.  Click on "New Student Registration Form (Grades 7-12)".  If bus transportation is needed for the student, please click on "Bussing Request Form" as well.  After completing each of the registration forms, please print and mail them to:

Proof of residency and copies of the child's birth certificate and current immunization record are also required to complete the registration process.  Upon receipt of the necessary documentation, parents will be contacted to address any question and/or to schedule an appointment.  Once we have processed your pre-registration, you will be contacted by phone to come in to the school during the week of August 16th.
